Collect and report live election returns for Primaries and General Elections as part of AP’s national network of journalists stationed on-site at county election headquarters. Watch for and inquire about irregularities in early, absentee and election-day voting and tabulation. Data reported is essential to AP’s ability to call state and federal elections based upon a combination of exit polling and real-time returns.

ABOUT LISA ZAHNER
My portfolio: authory.com/LisaZahnerAs a reporter, editor, photographer and restaurant critic I’ve tackled assignments from Key West to Tallahassee. Born in Fort Lauderdale and raised in Pompano and Deerfield Beach, I attended college in Boca Raton, then moved to Melbourne Beach after Hurricane Andrew — hoping to get away from the big storms. Now I look after all the News happening in Vero Beach’s exclusive barrier island communities. Having spent my entire life in coastal Florida, I know the culture, the people, the ecology and the state and local governments. It’s no secret why “Free Florida” draws more than 1,200 new residents every day — there’s just no place like the Sunshine State to work, to retire and to live out your dreams.
