As Sr. Vice President of LeadingAge North Carolina I have ownership of overseeing many strategic and functional areas. I provide organizational, professional and administrative leadership, to develop and implement diverse services and programs. My executive leadership is part of a shared responsibility with the goal of supporting long-term care providers - in their making an impactful difference in the lives of seniors, through education and advocacy for senior living communities. An “it takes a village” mindset is imperative to reach defined goals, as LeadingAge North Carolina has 69 member communities statewide (including continuing care retirement / life plan communities, and affordable housing providers), with association members employing mission-oriented staff in serving more than North Carolinians, and additionally 70+ business partners provide services, products, and trusted advice to members. We offer education, advocacy, networking, and shared services, and are the state affiliate for national partner LeadingAge in Washington, DC not for profit organizations association, dedicated to expanding possibilities for the aging). Navigating the complexities of policy development and analysis, regulatory compliance adherence, and program inception through implementation can be challenging, but I leverage my experience directing diverse key programs for nonprofit senior living providers. I am a clear communicator of organization leadership’s vision, provider of strategic planning and project management, with on-the-spot handling of escalating issues. I maximize production and potential, quickly assessing problems, formulating big-picture solutions, and providing directional guidance in ironing out granular-level plan details, for other’s executing on them.
