Leona has over 35 years of experience as a leader, consultant, and entrepreneur in various sectors, driving change, transformation and business growth. Also working in and around central government, including defence, transport and business, delivering strategic change and transformation and progamme direction on \"big ticket\" contracts, such as Programme Manager with TfL for the London Olympics and Paralympics, Army Change Integration Programme people lead and National Help to Grow Digital Programme. Leona is an experienced, fellow, chair, trustee and ambassador for numerous organisations. As a Fellow and Director of the Year at the Institute of Directors, Leona is passionate about promoting exemplary corporate governance, authentic and inclusive people-centric leadership, diversity, and social responsibility in the business community. An Army Officer, Veteran, Reservist and senior Cadet Force Adult Volunteer, supporting and enabling the development and wellbeing of young people, Reservists and Veterans. Leona is proud to have been recognised with multiple awards and honours for her achievements and contributions, such as the Soldiering On Awards Inclusivity in Defence award, the IoD Inclusive Director of the Year Award, and the Gold Award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme for her advocacy work in business. Her greatest honour is being appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant of Bedfordshire supporting His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant.
