Lead/Manage a Team of Test professionals, ensuring they have the necessary skills, attitudes, and passion to ensure quality across wider MBIE projects. Identifying skills gaps within the team and work to close them, uplifting the team’s capability. Engage with stakeholders, projects and across MBIE to understand and respond to their queries and needs. Ensure that MBIE maintains best practice alignment with the ICT industry, GCIO, other agencies and wider government initiatives. Align demand for test resources against project, BAU, and capability demands within ICT and across MBIE. Identify and prioritize risks which may threaten Quality, Test Delivery, or desired Outcomes. Maintain the right balance of Team capacity considering current and future work pipeline. Review and approve timesheet against work expectations. Motivate the team and create an inspiring team environment with open communication culture, include but not limited to managing and organizing team-building activities. Work with suppliers to meet the capacity demands of the test practice. Monitor team performance, discover training needs and provide coaching. Mentor team members on their personal career growth, empowered promotions and resolved conflicts, helping individuals with their performance objectives and development plans. Responsible for recruitment and all onboarding activities. Advocate for and commit to team culture and diversity.
