ABOUT LEE GEORGE O.

I started my career in Civil Costs Litigation in 2002 whilst undertaking CILEX after studying law, I decided to remain in the legal costs sector, focus on developing my skills, knowledge and experience because of the specialist, ever-evolving and often technical nature of this area of law. Prior to setting up UK Legal Consultants Ltd in early 2018, I previously headed up a leading national legal costs practice with 5 offices in the UK for a period of almost 13 years. In addition to managing my own Multi-Track case-load, often consisting of complex, large scale civil disputes, clinical negligence and high value serious injury cases, I dealt with the general case related day to day operation and management of the firm, including training and development of junior fee earners through our post LPC Graduate Scheme along with senior and more experienced fee earners. I was responsible for implementing and supervising working protocols across all regional offices along with advocacy in the County Courts and the Senior Court Costs Office. Since 2002 I have dealt with a broad spectrum of work in Civil Litigation such as, in summary, clinical negligence, personal and catastrophic injury, industrial disease, deafness claims, group litigation, AVP claims, Inquests, civil disputes, commercial litigation and private client. I have dealt with, fully managed and navigated the costs proceedings in clinical negligence (wrongful birth, surrogacy and mis-diagnosis etc) and catastrophic injury (brain injury cases) with damages in excess of £20m. In March 2018, along with an experienced Costs Lawyer, we launched our own client focused legal costs practice, UK Legal Consultants Ltd.
