ABOUT LAURA TERRY
Some of my earliest memories are of going with my Dad and brothers to salvage materials from houses & buildings slated for demolition. Dad used those materials to build a six bedroom, seven bath house for our large family. The excitement of watching our house grow, literally from the ground up, remained with me into my adult life. I carry that excitement and sense of pride into my work in the construction industry today. That early exposure to the construction process eventually led me to an administrative position working for a local electrical contractor. It was there that I re-discovered how exciting and satisfying the construction process is. Just as when I was eight years old, I find it immensely gratifying to participate in the creative process of construction. Now, nineteen years later, I still enjoy the entire construction process. From bidding to closeout, I like being the ‘communication center’ for a project team. I enjoy the challenge of managing the flow of information and assisting the Project Managers so they can focus on what’s important - the overall quality of our construction and the safety of our construction teams.
