ABOUT LANU TUKUAHO
An experienced lawyer with a demonstrated history of working in criminal and regulatory litigation both in the District and Appellate Courts. Skilled in public speaking, legal research, high-level legal submission writing, and advocacy. Outside of the Courts I pride myself in being a mother to twins and connecting with people from all walks of life on a human level. As a mentor and community volunteer I like to focus my free time bridging and advancing the educational pursuits of Pacific peoples at the secondary and tertiary level. In 2019 I was recognized for my efforts and selected as 1 of 200 inaugural Obama leaders for the Asia Pacific region representing both Tonga and New Zealand. In 2020 I was selected by FashioNZ for International Women\'s Day as 1 of 6 women creating positive change in fashion. In 2021 I was selected as one of the University of Auckland’s 40 inspiring alumni aged 40 and under 40. Most recently in 2023 I have been selected as a finalist for the ILANZ Complywith Community Contribution Award.
