I worked at two research labs in the Computer Science Department-Four Eyes Lab, and HCI Lab-where I specialized in Human-Computer Interaction studying online news bias. In my spare time, I volunteered at the Santa Barbara Student Housing Co-operative, a non-profit providing low-income housing. From 20••••16, I had the distinct honor of interning full-time at HG Data-which ranked in Inc\'s top 500 fastest growing companies for 2014. I witnessed a 400% company growth while I worked building software alongside a team of 4-15 engineers at this early-age startup.My research and work experience has driven me to research and work in: Machine Learning, Programming Languages, Artificial Intelligence, Distributed Systems, Computer Networking, Natural Language Processing, and Human-Computer Interaction. Outside of my domain, my research interests have included feminist studies. At UCSB, I was enrolled in a Feminist Studies minor with a 4.0, taking interest in sociology and the study of marginalized communities. My biggest interest has been studying identity politics and social institutions with their effect on marginalized communities, women of color, people of color, global citizens, grassroots movements, chican@ communities, the military-industrial complex, environmental health, working-class communities, and other marginalized identities/communities.
