   Your image is your first introduction to the world. The way you look—especially your hair—can influence how you feel, how others perceive you, and the energy you attract. But what happens when you don’t have access to the tools to feel your best?This was my reality during my college years at Grinnell College in rural Iowa. As a student-athlete and a young Black man, I struggled to find a barber who understood my hair—hair that represented my identity, culture, and confidence. It wasn’t about being lazy or staying in my dorm; it was about not having access to culturally competent haircare. Let’s just say growing my hair out wasn’t the aesthetic choice I planned to make.That personal challenge lit a fire in me to create ClipDart—a company dedicated to improving mental wellness through equitable, on-site, culturally competent haircare. At ClipDart, we believe everyone deserves to look their best and feel confident in their own skin, no matter where they are or where they’re from.Since starting ClipDart, our vision has been simple yet powerful: a world where no one has to worry about how they will look their best. To date, we’ve brought this vision to life for thousands of individuals by partnering with schools, nonprofits, homeless shelters, and other organizations to break down barriers to haircare.Visit to learn more about how we’re building confidence, community, and mental wellness—one haircut at a time.
