ABOUT KEITH LUCAS
Hi, I\'m Keith Lucas. From 30 years building and growing teams in tech, including a decade building product and engineering at Roblox, I\'ve developed a proven approach to help leaders cross the chasm from early stage to high-performing teams that scale. Today, I share that model in my award-winning book IMPACT, and through my work as a startup advisor, team advisor, and speaker. As a team advisor, I go deeper — embedding with leadership teams to sharpen and focus vision and mission, map the org structure, identify missing roles, level up individual performance, clarify decision making, and develop values to scale behavior. Most successful early-stage leaders hit an inflection point where the things that got them here — founder instinct, heroic effort, sheer willpower — stop working. The team that built the prototype can\'t scale the product, and the culture that formed organically starts cracking under growth. You\'re standing at a chasm between early-stage scrappiness and a high-performing team that scales, and most leaders don\'t make it across. Not because they lack talent or ambition, but because they don\'t have a model for the crossing. The model I’ve developed comes down to two things: aligned autonomy and mission athletes. But it starts with something simpler: the daily decisions that define your culture. The behaviors you cultivate, and who you hire, promote, and retain, are your culture. Get that right first. When you\'re crossing the chasm from early stage to scaling with this model, here\'s what it looks like: the right people — mission-driven, mastery-seeking, values-aligned — in flow, building with purpose, moving fast, and scaling without losing what made them great in the first place.I wrote the book on this — literally. IMPACT lays out the full model. I also speak at conferences, universities, portfolio summits, and on podcasts. And if you\'re an early-stage leader standing at the chasm, a VC watching your portfolio companies hit that inflection point, or a leader who crossed but senses the foundation isn\'t as solid as it needs to be — message me.The future must belong to mission-driven entrepreneurial teams — the disruptors, the visionaries, the dreamers, and the hopeful.
