ABOUT KRZYSZTOF LIPIEC

I work at the intersection of research, industry and public policy, focusing on turning advanced technologies into real-world applications increasingly in the context of defence, security and dual-use. I currently serve as Head of the Commercialisation Department at Łukasiewicz – PIAP, with over 20 years of experience supporting innovation through technology transfer, industry collaboration, and European R&D programmes. My work includes IP commercialisation, spin-offs, and the development and deployment of advanced technologies, particularly in robotics, AI and systems relevant to security and defence. I actively contribute to European initiatives focused on strengthening technological sovereignty and resilience, including through work on dual-use innovation and cooperation between civilian and defence ecosystems. Throughout my career, I have also contributed to shaping and implementing innovation support mechanisms, working with public institutions and industry partners. I am particularly interested in building systems that not only generate knowledge, but are able to deploy it effectively: at scale and in operational environments.
