ABOUT KIRKLEN VILLARREAL

I am currently a Senior Project Engineer for Muckleroy & Falls. In May of 2021, I graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Construction Science. At a young age I recognized my passion for reading a set of instructions and diligently arranging each piece in order to create a finished product I was proud of, such as a LEGO set or furniture for my home. At the time I had no idea my childhood passion would evolve into my dream occupation in construction. My experience includes a full-time position and two internship positions where I was able to gain extensive experience in multiple areas of the construction industry. As an Assistant Superintendent, I was tasked with scheduling and facilitating deliveries, managing ten subcontractor scopes of work, and documenting daily reports to the Project Manager. As a Project Management Intern, it allowed me the opportunity to be an integral part of a project management team, where I was responsible for completing numerous take off estimates, bid books, closeout documents, job cost controls, punch lists, and other daily tasks for the project managers. Then, as an Interiors Manager, I gained hands on experience scheduling the renovation of over 250 units and managing over twenty-five employees. I also received Manager of the Month for completing 40% more units than projected.
