ABOUT KENNY ROSS

During the last thirty five years of drilling operations, I have had comprehensive hands on experience with every possible task there is, from Exploration, appraisal and development wells, HPHT, Extended reach wells, multi-lateral wells, completions in Ultra Deepwater water depth), on Dynamically positioned drillships/semi-submersibles, setting HXT’s, running IWOCS, and also in shallow water on Jack-ups. I have worked on Jack-up, Semi-submersibles & Drill ships both 5th & 6th Generation (Cyber systems), I have worked up and down the east coast of UK sector of the North Sea and west of the Netherlands working for most of the major operators (British Gas, BP, Amoco, Wintershall, Philips 66, and up and down the east cost of Brazil for Petrobras and Petrobras /partnership wells, and internationally (Angola, Congo, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Sarawak, Sabah & Suriname, Turkey-Black Sea) for Turkish Petroleum (TPAO), Chevron, Petronas, and Woodside Energy in. I have worked offshore for 35 years, incident free.In these most recent years I have been recognized for my drilling equipment knowledge, skills and solutions. I have attended factory acceptance tests for all the major drilling equipment on one of my recent assignments and preparing for the commissioning of new builds (1 x semi-submersible (The Atwood ‘Osprey’) and 1 x Jack-up (‘The Transocean Honor’). We developed an acceptance testing program and performed the acceptance testing prior to delivering the rigs for drilling contract commencement. I also over saw the installation of the Operators Business partner equipment installation at the shipyard, Schlumberger wire line unit, MWD unit and mud logging unit, mud processing equipment (centrifuges and cuttings dryers. For the last 5 years, I was working in Angola for Chevron, 3 years on a 5th Generation Jack-up and 2 years on the Maersk Deliverer (6th Generation duel activity Dynamically Positioned semisubmersible)
