ABOUT KAREN HUTCHINS
Providing leadership to the professional association keeps me energized. This energy level helps me lead our statewide association to assist attorneys to advance their practice and the legal profession. As Executive Director of the Arkansas Bar Association and Past President of the National Association of Bar Executives I am able to keep up the pulse on both state and national issues affecting the practice of law. I am passionate about helping volunteer lawyers connect and resolve important issues facing the legal profession and community. I work to create a strong network of attorneys across the state as members of the Board of Trustees, Committees and 32 substantive law sections. I provide strong oversight of the association\'s budget and make sure technology is used to create the maximum efficiency for staff. As a Certified Association Executive (CAE), I particularly enjoy overseeing a dynamic business model that requires both staff and volunteers to be successful. The association’s social media presence continues to expand and engage members. Working with the association\'s legislative action team I am able to focus on the protecting the practice of law and the administration of justice.
