About Kane Poad

Much of what defines who I am is a deep seeded desire for leadership and a constant drive for success. I have always sought to be a leader in the many situations life puts me in. Early in college, I joined the Student Government as a senator with the goal of making an impact on my campus. After a few short years, I found myself serving as the President of the entire student body. During my presidency, we were able to accomplish many great things for campus and received the Chancellors Student Organization of the Year Award. In addition to this, I served as the Chair of one of the most important committees on campus. While serving as chair, we were able to allocate over $3 million in student fees for organizations to use. I pride myself in is working harder than the person next to me. I understand I may not always have the answers, but with hard work and determination; I have yet to be disappointed with the overall results. I also believe I have a unique ability to read people. I understand social cues and use them to know what they need to hear in any given situation. I enjoy meeting new people and working with them on teams to accomplish goals. I strive to bring out the best in everybody and am continuously improving my leadership style.I plan on using this leadership experience to progress the field of renewable energy. I have been passionate about renewable energy since I first learned about it. My father started his own business selling fuel to people to heat their homes and to farmers to fill up their machines. I learned how essential energy is for society and want to pursue a career in providing clean, sustainable energy to the world. I believe the solution to our energy concerns will become one the fastest growing and most important industries in the near future. I am excited to help take on this challenge.

   Managing and coordinating the collaborative efforts of all personnel and other resources (internal and external) necessary to successfully accomplish the strategic planning and implementation of pilot program initiatives and offerings. Working with Implementers to provide technical and administrative oversight and support. Developing relationships with industry partners and program stakeholders to identify and address their needs from the pilot program(s), including public and small group presentations.
