About Kameel Khabaz
Kameel is a highly driven, engaging, and dynamic individual interested in the intersection of computer science and medicine. He pursued a major in Biological Sciences with a minor in Computer Science at the University of Chicago and lead multiple projects in interdisciplinary academic teams. He also worked as a data science and machine learning intern at BigHat Biosciences, where he developed a closed-loop data monitoring framework for experimental pipelines and studied acquisition function strategies for Bayesian optimization on candidate antibody sequences. Kameel is currently a medical student at the University of California, Los Angeles, David Geffen School of Medicine. In his free time, Kameel enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
