I am results orientated and have gained significant senior management experience in Commercial insurance; primarily across underwriting / portfolio management, new business development and corporate governance. I have a proven track record of creating and implementing customer-centric strategies that grow profitable business or drive sustainable change for multi-channel insurance entities, whether start-up or Blue Chip organisations. My experience includes implementing international underwriting control frameworks (specialising in EU/EEA Freedom of Services) that ensure best practice underwriting quality and technical capability for pan-European insurers. During a period based in North America, I developed international underwriting capabilities and brought to market a combined Property & Casualty international controlled master program proposition dedicated to the Canadian middle market. During the four years of returning from Canada - a time of unprecedented change for the insurance industry in Ireland - I reacquainted myself with the Irish market, delivered underwriting strategy, drove business alignment with transformational regulations and led commercial success.
