ABOUT JULIEN BRAY

It is not necessary to change. Survival is not mandatory. What I like about this Ed. Deming Quote is that it makes sense in all of the numerous missions I have performed during my 20 years in IT.Over aeronautical, telecom, and finance, various countries such as Russia, India, Sweden, UK, Germany, and ultimately France, change has always been a key element of the projects I have managed either as a starting point or as an unexpected guess. As a lifelong learner, change is more a subject of interest rather than a challenge for me.This mindset allowed my team to quickly answer to mandatory compliance evolutions or business development opportunities.Working with the business on a daily basis during face-to-face meetings on user needs, support and reporting, allowed me to continuously deliver valuable features.Enhancing user experience and optimizing legacy processes have been my main focus during these past years.I have dealt with digital transformation projects across legal, regulatory, compliance departments, equity derivatives front office, and middle office. With my highly motivated team, we have managed to continuously increase our release pace, enhance our feedback loop through unit tests and automated nonregression tests and reduce production outages.Being able to work as one, on requirements, development, tests, and support allowed our team both to quickly deliver value to users and to quickly remediate during production incidents despite business pressure.Among my roles as Product Manager/Team Leader, allowing my team to focus on one subject at a time has been a game-changer to improve predictability in outcomes delivery.Enhancing backlog visibility for our sponsor, allowed us to enhance our system through iterative evergreening actions. We succeed to reduce coupling between components leveraging on microservices and cloud solutions.Despite all the positive outcomes of these actions and principles, there is no such thing as a finish line for progress.we need to keep the pace and stay customer-focused
