ABOUT JULIEN ZALC

I am an experienced researcher, with over 20 years conducting a range of classical and innovative research studies. Most of my career was at, or for Verian (before that, for Kantar Public, Kantar, TNS opinion, and EOS Gallup Europe). Ever since my academic studies in statistical methods and surveys at Progis, Sciences Po Grenoble, I have been interested in public opinion polling. My expertise extends to the whole range of opinion surveys, with a particular focus on quantitative methods, both with the general public and specific target groups. My expertise is particularly sharp on multi-country surveys. This has led me to lead several large pieces of work, such as the well-known Eurobarometer for the European institutions. I find joy in collaborating with and helping the people around me – whether that be my clients, research partners, or colleagues – to understand the evolution of society, to make the right public policy decisions and to achieve their objectives. I like to work in a team and seek to cultivate an environment where everyone can flourish and work to the best of their ability. Described as curious, determined, a good listener and empathetic, I try to use these traits in my professional life. Outside of work, I enjoy cinema, reading, running, and blind tasting wines.
