ABOUT JULIE WALKER

I manage a software team at Intuitive Surgical, working on the Ion Endoluminal System\'s navigation algorithms and interface. We integrate preoperative and intra-operative medical imaging, sensor data, and user inputs into an intuitive workflow and GUI that guides physicians to localize and biopsy hard-to-reach lung lesions. I have a Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. from Stanford University, where I worked with Professor Allison Okamura in the Collaborative Haptics and Robotics in Medicine Lab (CHARM).
