Julie is a highly experienced executive leader with a successful history of working in Health, Disability, Aged Care, Community Profit-for-Purpose and most recently in the food sector. In her current role as General Manager Operations at Meals on Wheels SA, Julie is responsible for the state-wide delivery of this iconic service to more than four thousand people daily, ensuring the food and service offered is safe, of a high quality, and supports the well-being of each person. In various roles and organisations, Julie has been responsible for all aspects of organisational management including strategic planning and business development, risk management, stakeholder engagement, sustainable business operations and building thriving businesses. Julie has participated in many advisory roles including the National Steering Committee developing Home Based Meal Guidelines, Better Practice Project Advisory Committee member, and currently holds board positions on Australian Meals on Wheels and a local aged care organisation. As a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Julie understands good governance from both the Board member and Executive Manager perspective. Julie completed a Masters of Business Administration, a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy all at the University of South Australia. Julie has participated in the Uni SA Executive Partners Program as both mentor and mentee. Her ongoing professional development includes the Harvard Club of Australia program for non-profit leaders and Prince2 project management. Julie also owns and manages a successful retail bakery, employing more than 20 full time and casual staff.
