About Jason Towler
For over 20 years, I’ve dedicated my career to advocating for the rights and success of disabled, homeless, and adjudicated youth, and their families. My passion stems from a deep belief in equity and the transformative power of education. As an educator, consultant, and program innovator, I specialize in building and implementing solutions that honor individual needs, empower families, and remove barriers to post-secondary achievement. My work blends direct service, strategic partnerships, and systemic advocacy. Collaborating with universities and employers, I’ve strengthened adult work programs and transition services for students with disabilities. I’m certified as a Work Incentive Counselor through Social Security, ensuring families can confidently navigate employment and SSI benefits. My nonprofit leadership includes founding Camp Zip, a summer program for adults with disabilities, and advancing local initiatives as Community Action Board Chair for Washtenaw County. In public service, I’ve served as President and Legislative Liaison for the Michigan Transition Service Association and helped launch the Michigan Interagency Transition Team. Whether lobbying for policy change or leading professional development, my focus is always on practical impact—building alliances, generating opportunities, and driving sustainable results. As a trainer and speaker, I’ve presented nationally on assistive technology, job development, and inclusive curriculum, most recently designing the 2021 MTSA Virtual Transition Conference. My advocacy was recently recognized with a fellowship from Michigan State University’s Michigan Political Leadership Program. If you value experience, vision, and a results-focused approach to educational advocacy or program development, let’s connect. I am always eager to collaborate with those who believe in equitable access and bold solutions for every learner.Special EducationEducational LeadershipTeacher CoachingMTTC Test PreparationIEP ImplementationInclusionCurriculum DevelopmentInstructional StrategiesAdvocacyProfessional DevelopmentStakeholder EngagementComplianceData-Driven Decision MakingBehavioral InterventionsProgram Management
