Managing a national territory comprised of both wholesale and retail customers - Accounts include all US military branches, national grocery chains (Kroger, Albertsons, H-E-B, Meijer), regional mass GM stores (Fred Meyer, Big Lots), regional and national wholesalers (C&S, Office Depot), drug stores (Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid), Club stores (BJ\'s) and college bookstores - Calling on buying teams directly and presenting to varying levels of leadership at customer accounts - Actively seeking out new business opportunities through trade shows, industry events and generated leads with the goal of growth and profitability - Continuously developing strategic business plans designed with overall goal of the growth of profit and sales- Supervising and training select manufacturer reps/brokers assigned to given accounts - Managing an effective sales and expense budget - Strategically developing sales materials and promotions - Identifying marketing and sales opportunities by defining market, competitor\'s share, and competitor\'s strengths and weaknesses as well as opportunity gaps in order to assist with category management - Collaborating with Sales Analysts, Marketing and Operations teams to optimize forecasting, project management efficiency and profitability of territory And the most fun part- Building and sustaining rapport with key accounts by making routine visits; exploring specific needs and taking advantage of new opportunities
