Hands-on experience in financial data management, accounting processes, and software systems. My main role was to streamline investor records, making it easy for investors to see their payment/distribution records. I matched/validated financial data from Excel and the General Ledger which then got put into Juniper Square (software system) where the data was organized and accessible for investors to see. Our team used Smartsheets and Microsoft Teams in order to strengthen communication and collaboration with team members to see where problems occurred and what approach we should take to fix them. Throughout the internship it was important for me to collaborate with accountants and team members to solve roadblocks and to improve data accuracy. I managed over 15 investment entities (properties), including one with 90 investors in it where I accurately handled capital calls, distributions, return-on-capital processes, withholdings, and ownership transfers.
