About Joseph Khawane

Through my textiles I have been able to discover myself as a designer. My start being in fashion design. I was able to find that fashion was my first love. While in my Masters Program I discovered an even greater love for textile design. Each and every one of my textiles is an extension of me, and each collection representing my various stages of growth and development in the realm of design. As I further push myself and grow as a designer I will always be inspired by the world around me including elements of the past, present and future. As my body of work grows so does my aesthetic, creative process and passion for thriving within the design world. Through my work in textile design it has now lead me to be able to design across multiple industries from apparel, textiles, automotive color and materials, footwear color and materials and most recently accessory design with a focus on bags. Through these design different industries I am able to create a world that has a focus on color, harmony, balance and the art of storytelling through research of trends and aesthetics.
