ABOUT JOSEFINA JOSIE CARMONA
Education either transforms or it transacts. That distinction has guided this work for 28 years.Across adult literacy, TRIO programs, workforce development, university extended education, and health sciences leadership, the goal has always been transformation, for learners, for institutions, and for the educators doing the work. When faculty develop into confident teachers, when programs achieve genuine quality rather than paper compliance, when institutions build cultures that outlast leadership transitions, that is what transformation looks like in practice. This work is grounded in equity scholarship and the intellectual traditions of bell hooks and Paulo Freire, and practiced through Prosci-certified change management. The consulting work at Carmona Consulting keeps both connected to what institutions actually need, not just what looks good on a strategic plan.
