Served as technical advisor to the Director of the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ)’s National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) team on digital transformation, including development and employment of NEPA technology and tools that improve efficiency and effectiveness of environmental reviews.•Facilitated inter-agency working group with over 100 members on NEPA and permitting technology, establishing and strengthening partnerships that drive adoption of best-in-class technology and development practices. •Provided technical support and guidance to agency technology projects, including “same-day” NEPA automation and advanced artificial intelligence projects, enabling future automation and integration on platforms ranging from Salesforce to bespoke AI systems. •Managed General Service Administration’s 18F team to create first CEQ data standards, gathering key requirements and best practices to improve interoperability, information sharing, and execution within the permitting technology space.•Contributed to CEQ’s “E-NEPA” report to Congress, which studied the potential for digital tools to enhance and transform NEPA practices, resulting in the immediate allocation of funding and personnel to recommended projects. •Developed CEQ’s NEPA technology strategy, linking mission and vision with goals and objectives in experience and outcomes for stakeholders in environmental review and permitting, such as project proponents, members of the public, and those conducting reviews. •Created CEQ’s first technical specifications and guidance on Unique IDs for environmental review processes, spanning requirements from disconnected field offices to large-scale centralized systems, and led outreach and engagement efforts to support adoption across ~20 federal agencies. •Evaluated NEPA timelines, integrating siloed data structures and manually collected records in a streamlined process that implemented cutting-edge statistical techniques.
