Heading up central Build & DevOps initiatives within nDreams, working to maintain & develop infrastructure across three studios (Elevation, Near Light, Compass).* Architect & lead developer working on modernising Build & DevOps practices across the company, while taking into account 15+ years of past games that\'re still played.* Technical manager for three engineers, and an industry mentor for a dozen more programmers.* Leading Light & Devil’s Advocate within the Shared Technology Group, often pushing efforts to improve long-term maintainability of solutions and the STG’s influence within the company.* Chief administrator of the company’s Perforce ecosystem, currently under significant expansion plans to improve performance for remote developers, as well as balancing the needs of each studio against security efforts & best practices.* Maintains the company’s central build fleet, featuring a series of Windows-based baremetal machines for game building and Linux-based Docker hosts for general tasks, all orchestrated through a TeamCity CI (Unreal Horde to be integrated soon).

ABOUT JON WILLS

Always open to interesting opportunities in the games & ancillary industries, willing to relocate internationally. Over 15 years into the video games industry, Jon has previously been described as \"breaking the mould\"​ and a \"proactive catalyst\"​. Learning his trade at one of Europe\'s most acclaimed universities for games development, he has since specialised in the creation of game development tools, acquiring a reputation for user experience, tenacity, speed & care in development. After a number of years working for various UK studios ranging from independent to Jon took the opportunity to create Goldenwolf Systems, his own startup aimed at providing licensed tools & expertise to third-party developers. Providing his expertise to various companies (including the Ubisoft Technology Group), Jon returned to full-time work at Amazon Game Studios in London & Seattle, helping to develop the infrastructure & tools for the studio\'s QA & Localisation efforts. After leaving Amazon, Jon returned to the UK joining Creative Assembly, heading up a brand new initiative to increase & improve automated testing within the Total War franchise and becoming a member of BAFTA along the way. Seeking a different direction after five years as an SDET, Jon has most recently joined nDreams, running core development services and developing Build & DevOps initiatives across the company\'s three development studios.
