ABOUT JONATHAN LOPEZ
Driven fourth-year Criminology (Honours) student at King’s University College (Western University) with a strong interest in law, leadership, and community impact. I am the founder of Not Of This World Project, a nonprofit initiative that reinvests 100% of proceeds into community outreach, homelessness support, and youth engagement. Through this work, I have led teams, managed projects, built partnerships, and translated values into real-world action.Alongside my academic work, I am a varsity soccer athlete and team captain, where I’ve developed discipline, accountability, and leadership under pressure. My experience as a Counseling Manager and Leadership Training Coordinator with the YMCA, as well as working with Western University youth sports camps, has strengthened my ability to manage people, resolve conflict, organize programs, and create safe, high-performing environments.I also have experience in social media strategy, content creation, and digital storytelling through my work as a King’s University College Social Media Ambassador and nonprofit founder, using media to build community engagement and awareness.I bring a balance of analytical thinking, strong communication, and hands-on leadership to everything I do. My background includes research, policy-focused coursework, project coordination, and community programming. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and comfortable working in diverse, fast-paced environments.Currently, I am seeking part-time, internship, or entry-level roles in legal, administrative, program coordination, or community-focused settings as I prepare for law school. I am especially interested in opportunities that combine organization, responsibility, and meaningful impact.
