Review proposed governmental laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, policies, guidelines and conditions that conflict with our franchise rights and or hinder SCE’s ability to perform work that is governed by the PUC.• Represent SCE on the Inter Utility Coordinating Committee (IUCC) with all participating utilities and work together to align with all proposed governmental laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, policies, guidelines and conditions.• Manage escalations to their conclusion and work with Local Public Affairs, Law, Design Support and others as appropriate.• Resolve Permit escalations and ensure that the law department is involved as appropriate.• Schedule meetings with decision makers and help negotiate annual permits with the Design Permit Team.• Manage franchise related questions and or challenges to ensure we are allowed to exercise SCE’s franchise rights.• Maintain a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices; and performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.• Make formal presentations to management, local and regional government organizations, or community organizations.• Make recommendations to senior leadership.• Familiar with electric utility operations, other utility operations, or other public works organizations operations including construction and engineering practices.• Integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.• Demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
