ABOUT JONAS ALBERT

Ever since I was working as a paramedic with the German Red Cross, I knew I wanted to keep working in the field of healthcare.I feel incredibly fortunate that I can do exactly this, by making Digital Health Innovations a reality: In my current activities I support, consult and build Digital Health Innovations and make sure that they can be sustainably implemented in national Health Systems, especially in Germany where some of them can now be reimbursed.The health sector is in constant movement and new challenges demand flexibility and openness to innovation. Health innovations have the potential to not only be useful, but to truly transform how we receive and administer care, creating massive societal benefit. I made it my goal to make sure that these health innovations make it from the drawing board to reality and are economically sustainable.To achieve this, I have been conducting interdisciplinary business research in health-related projects and also developed a Business Model approach dedicated to Health innovations. In addition, I focus on enriching and enhancing the interplay between traditional R&D, user research and Business Model scenario building, to create sustainable innovations. I also work on leveraging knowledge from national and European health policy in order to create successful market access strategies for Innovators in the field of healthcare. Being involved in the exploitation and valorisation activities in numerous projects and working with Digital Health startups and industry on a regular basis, I am always interested in projects where I can learn and enhance the impact I am making.
