First joining this global business advisory firm as an Associate, I have advanced to hold roles as Vice President, Director, and now Managing Director. To turn around and transform companies, I assume interim leadership and senior advisory consulting roles. These projects are often urgent, and frequently (although not always) involve a company facing or emerging from bankruptcy or restructuring. I have found consensus building and working to align people with disparate interests is critical to success in restructuring. Examples of some of my work include:*Led efforts to manage global liquidity at Westinghouse, help manage the wind-down of two multi billion dollar construction projects and develop a feasible business plan / plan of reorganization. Advised board chairman on key aspects of sale and transition to Brookfield Business Partners.*Manged the publicly traded carve out of Howard Hughes Corp. from parent Company GGP.*Led efforts to manage liquidity and the restructuring bankruptcy process (including plan development) at American Tire Distributors which led to 100% recovery to creditors.*As CFO, I decreased inventory 35% and costs 30% and successfully negotiated an agreement with creditors, enabling company to restructure out of court. Though heavily involved in debtor and creditor side restructurings, my projects also include work for healthier companies including developing business plans, managing liquidity, negotiating covenants/exit financing, and overseeing asset sales. Select client list: Westinghouse (energy), American Tire Distributors (wholesaler), Motorola Solutions (electronics), ProvoCraft (consumer products), Solo Power (solar), STR (solar), Cardiac Science (medical devices), General Growth Properties (real estate), Harnischfeger (mining equipment), Safety-Kleen (environmental services), Parmalat USA (dairy), and several homebuilders.
