ABOUT JOHN CURTIS

As a Finance and Accounting major at Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration while maintaining a 3.75 GPA. I’m honored to have earned Dean’s List recognition each semester, reflecting my commitment to academic excellence, discipline, and continuous growth.On campus, I am actively involved in the Neeley Mentorship Program, where I connect with experienced alumni and industry professionals to gain real-world insight into finance, investing, and career development. I am also a member of the Finance Club, where I collaborate with peers and professionals to deepen my understanding of markets, valuation, and investment strategy.Beyond the classroom, I bring an entrepreneurial mindset shaped by launching and operating multiple small businesses. I have run a seasonal yacht services and boat detailing business in San Diego, serving 15+ recurring clients and managing a small team, and I also built and operated a holiday light installation business serving 25+ households each season. Across these ventures, I oversee pricing, marketing, operations, customer service, and financial management, strengthening my leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.I am passionate about combining analytical thinking with hands-on execution. Whether trading financial markets, operating small businesses, or studying private equity, I am driven by opportunities to evaluate risk, deploy capital effectively, and create long-term value.
