Known as a creative thinker, passionate presenter, and insightful facilitator, John Armato focuses on brands, messages and ideas that matter for corporate, nonprofit, and association clients. He joined FleishmanHillard in 1996 where his roster of more than 100 clients has included the University of Oregon, the country of Egypt, Procter & Gamble, H&R Block, and E. & J. Gallo Winery. He was part of the agency’s award-winning Hallmark team for a decade, leading it for three years before relocating to New York. There, John served as co-chair of the firm’s global Brand Marketing Practice Group, where he led the development of a point of view on what it takes to succeed in today’s marketplace. The resulting “Marketplace Mandates” have since appeared in an American Brands Council’s book and on Forbes.com. John joined the agency’s growing West Coast operations in 2008. John is in demand as a facilitator of insights workshops, “magnetic ideas” sessions, strategic planning meetings, and message labs. He presents frequently on creativity and communications and is a popular keynote speaker for audiences of entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, association members and Fortune 500 professionals. He has appeared in venues from showrooms in Vegas and boardrooms in Manhattan to castles in Paris and cruise ships at sea and has been called “one of the most accomplished presenters in his field.” John brings an eclectic perspective to his award-winning work. He has been at times a magician, graphic designer and freelance magazine writer. He has been a jazz drummer his entire life and has played clubs and concerts from New York City to Napa Valley.
