Responsible for the design and load rating of new and existing bridges using LRFD methodology, as well as LFD load rating of bridges throughout Pennsylvania. Responsible for initial, periodic and QA inspections of several structures throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.o Oversee associate level engineers performing calculations for the development of structure plans for new construction and existing bridge repair. Oversee the bridge design from initial front end engineering (TS & L) through final design (PS & E).o Create man-hour engineering and construction cost estimates for clients use in bridge programming. Develop technical & price proposal submissions for DOT, local and county projects.o Project Manager in charge of LRFR load rating of bridges throughout New Jersey as well as load rating engineer for LFR load rating of bridges throughout Pennsylvania. Load rating includes varying bridge types, including utilization of LUSAS, BSDI or STAAD.Pro programs for finite element analysis where required. Superstructure types include steel, concrete and prestressed concrete multi-beam, girder-floorbeam-stringer systems and steel truss bridges as well as reinforced concrete open and closed spandrel arch bridges.o Project Manager for bridge inspection contracts in Pennsylvania.
