My passion is to help Americans realize the best possible healthcare system. I love that moment during a project when everything starts to \"click\" and our whole team develops a shared vision of success. I enjoy sharing my actuarial perspective on health care costs, data analysis, and business intelligence. Even better, I relish learning from colleagues from different backgrounds - physicians, marketing gurus, sales leaders, finance experts, data scientists, medical coders, claims teams, engineers, product folks and senior leadership. And of course, other actuaries with many more years of experience than me. Most of all, I love shipping a winning solution.I\'m fortunate to have built a personal toolkit of skills to help solve tough problems related to healthcare costs over the years. The navy taught me to have a questioning attitude, hold myself accountable, and pay attention to details. Since then, nearly 10 years in healthcare & the actuarial profession has given me specialized skills in financial modeling, data analysis, contracting & reimbursement arrangements, and the perspective of a wide variety of payors. My background in IT allowed me to go \"deep\" on a variety of technology products. However, I think my biggest strength is knowing when my skills can get a project across the finish line; and when it\'s time to find an expert that knows an area better than myself.
