About John Laufer

I joined Miter as employee #4 and the first sales hire before there was a process, a pitch, or a proven market. Spent nearly 4 years as the Founding AE building the sales motion from the ground up alongside the founders — and recently stepped into our first Sales Manager role to help scale what we\'ve built. Before Miter, I was at memoryBlue doing consultative B2B sales development work. Miter was actually one of my clients there before I joined full time — which is a fun story. I have a B.S. in Accounting and the only thing I knew for certain walking off that stage was that I never wanted to work in accounting. Fast forward a few years and my entire career is spent helping contractors get their labor costs into their accounting systems for job costing. The universe has a sense of humor. Outside of work I invest in real estate. I have 4 properties across Texas — a long-term rental in Round Rock and two STRs on the Gulf Coast. Still learning, but love the asset class. Always open to connecting with people building early-stage companies, scaling sales teams, or investing in real estate!
