ABOUT JOÃO PEDRO FERREIRA

I received the degree in electronics engineering and the MSc degree in robotics, control systems and automation from the University of Minho, Guimarães, Portugal in 2010. In 2011 started the PhD in Technology and Information System where had been developing the thesis in the area of Social Signals Processing in Human-Computer interaction. As a Researcher, I\'m associated with engageLab a laboratory of University of Minho. I have been collaborating in projects related with Human-Robot and Human-Computer Interaction, Usability, Human Factors applied to automotive, Signal Processing applied to Sound and Image and motion analysis. Meanwhile, my personal research focus on the analysis of motion (nonverbal behaviour) as a source to predict user\'s difficulty in a Human-Computer Interaction task. Along my professional career as a researcher and technical developer, I had been involved in projects focus on Motion Capture, Usability, Behaviour Analysis and Human Factors applied in the Automotive Industry, Retail Industry and Technology. In the last 4 years, i have been involved in data related projects, being involved in different stages of data solutions. that includes the requirement analysis, data infrastructure design, implementation of ETL/ELT strategies, data conversions and custom solutions for for databases on-permissive and cloud platforms, data analytics, implementation of interfaces to provide users access to storage data and technical support on deployment and productive environment. I am an enthusiast of DIY and I have been collaborating in projects related to music, digital art and exploration electronics in a creative way and how it can be accessible for everyone.
