I currently work as a Junior Product Manager at InstaVision, where I primarily support the execution of new product ideas and improvements planned. My day-to-day work involves helping turn early product direction into clearly defined tasks, coordinating with teams during execution, and assisting in fine-tuning existing features based on usage patterns and feedback.A large part of my role also involves working with product data. It involves tracking key metrics, analysing feature performance, and supporting campaigns and user messaging across different channels to improve communication and adoption. This hands-on exposure has helped me understand how product decisions play out in the real world, beyond just requirements and wireframes.Before moving into product, I worked as a Business Analyst at Increff, where I helped retail brands improve merchandising and inventory decisions. I was directly involved in end-to-end implementations for a major client in Sri Lanka as well as domestic brands, working on problems related to assortment planning, replenishment, and demand forecasting. These projects required close collaboration with engineering, client strategy, and operations teams, and gave me a good exposure to how complex systems behave at scale.Alongside client work, I contributed to improvements within Increff’s merchandising platform that were later rolled out across multiple customers.Earlier, I spent over two years with Khel Now as an Indian Football correspondent. While very different on the surface, that experience strengthened my ability to research deeply, communicate clearly, and tell data-backed stories. These skills have become a strong part of how I work and often help me add a slightly different perspective.At this stage of my career, I’m focused on learning by doing.
