Lead new product development with offshore & domestic OEM manufacturing partners. Accountable for the research, negotiation and purchasing of replacement parts for the material handling, industrial, construction & agricultural equipment for the Americas market. Sourcing consists of purchasing OEM products and reverse engineering complete assemblies along with replacement components. Work closely with my European counterpart based out of Belgium to keep our markets in sink. • Manage all aspects of sourcing of assigned commodities• Evaluate supplier performance with KPI’s• Lead new product development with suppliers via reverse engineering• Create new kits with individual components & direct internal Kit shop to do the packaging• Manage inventory & material forecasting for optimal customer support• Prepare, execute & follow up on Requests For Quotes (RFQ’s)• Submit & follow up with purchase orders through automated internal system and/or by email.• Work with QA department to prequalify new products prior to submitting initial purchase order
