About Jessica Kim

I have greatly enjoyed over 20 years in our industry in several marketplaces in various roles. Each has provided its own set of challenges and rewards.I have spent the last 10 years at Travelers Insurance, and the last 3 in our National Property unit focused on underwriting large and complex property risks with TIVs in excess of 350M. I also support our global insurance initiatives. The best part of the job is problem solving, building creative programs, supplying our customers with the best services initiatives in our industry from risk control and claims, and sharing my expertise with our industry partners. As time passes, I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to not only learn from some of the most intelligent and experienced people in our industry, but also pass that knowledge and experience to those who are just stepping in.Early in my career, I took the time to build a strong foundation by obtaining my CPCU designation. I have explored interesting risks both in property and casualty and in the standard market and E&S realm. I have greatly enjoyed meeting intelligent and professional women in our industry as a member of the National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW, now IAIP - International Association of Insurance Professionals). I have been a territory manager, an underwriter, and a broker. I have spent time in various regions including the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Southeast. These experiences have fed my passion for learning and have made me a multi-faceted contributor to my organization and our industry.
