ABOUT JESSICA MARSZALEK
I am an award-winning journalist with a deep understanding of Australia\'s political landscape, having worked for two decades in the Canberra and Queensland media galleries. I now leverage my strategic expertise, political nous and love of storytelling to help corporate, government and not-for-profit clients achieve their goals with major campaigns, launches and activations. I always loved taking complex messaging and explaining it to my readers, and now I do that for clients in ways that resonate with their target audiences to generate widespread media coverage, engage with key stakeholders, shift sentiment and influence public policy. Before joining 89 Degrees East, I was the The Courier-Mail and Sunday Mail\'s State Political Editor, where I led a team that brought about policy change in a range of areas. I am most proud of my work that led to the Queensland Government adopting integrity recommendations made by the Coaldrake Review and a commitment of an extra $1.6m for mental health services in the state.
