The role is responsible for running ICAM teams and completing investigation reports for critical incidents; presenting training sessions with site leadership on key health and safety concepts; developing and upholding the health and safety performance standards; supporting sites to develop strategies to overcome specific safety challenges; form and lead audit teams; organise and run regional safety meetings; support the sites to write Safety Management Plans; oversee the training of H&S professionals to obtain relevant certificates/diplomas; facilitate high level risk assessments; champion the input of accurate information into iLeader; and ultimately keeping their finger on the “pulse” of safety culture for the sites they are responsible. The incumbent will be required to travel to sites regularly (An average of 2-3 days per week and up to a week at a time when required) to liaise with site Health & Safety Professionals, Plant Management and Supervisors. They will execute their function using evidence-based practice with a high professional standard through a mix of hands on and supporting functions.
