ABOUT JENNIFER RASK
I\'m a seasoned, technical product creation professional. I started in the supply chain, and then quickly gained experience in customs, data and system change management as an analyst for 11 years at Nike. I realized I had a passion for footwear and wanted to get closer to product creation. I had the opportunity to take a course,\"shoe school\" which I was able to turn into a year long stretch. During that time, I logged 100 hours of stitching and 40 hours assembling and stock-fitting prototypes with expert shoedog tutors in the kitchen located in MH-0. I was also holding down my day job as a data analyst for the training marketing team and gaining exposure to the athlete journey and the product creation process. Next, I landed a job as a Flyknit Engineer and then really honed my product creation, tech pack creation, development, patterning, cross-comm and engineering skills. I was able to gain exposure to all things footwear and working with many partners locally and abroad. I then decided that I prefer to always work in footwear product creation in some capacity. I tried to leverage my Flyknit experience to seek FW dev and FW eng roles, but it was a tough time and very competitive. I decided to leverage my knit experience in the Nike Socks Co as a socks developer. In this role, I learned more about the end to end development process and operations. Now I am working to move to zero and mitigate waste on the material palettes team. My passion for materials and making athletes better drives my success. I would like to continue to grow into people management.
