About Jennifer Laukonis

I am currently a senior at Michigan State University who is passionate about connecting everyday people to life-changing stories. My primary focus has been to not only create moving video projects, but also to help bring awareness to various brands and their image. My path started out as an intern-turned-freelancer in 2021 in marketing and social media branding for Danielle Nicole Handbags. With this company, I partnered with Disney, Warner Bros, and various other entertainment companies to get such handbags out to mass audiences. Since then, I have worked directly with the The Walt Disney Company (Disney Parks, Experiences, & Products) in order to help bring the magic that encompasses Disney to thousands of guests on the Disney College Program. In this role, I worked attractions in Walt Disney World from 20••••23 in order to ensure safety and guest satisfaction. Since returning to MSU, I have taken part as a College Ambassador for Paramount Pictures. In this role, I have both managed and carried out projects in marketing new films to campuses across Michigan. Some of these films include Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. I also serve as a Media Entertainment staff member with MSU Residence Halls Association. Within this role, I ideate and carry out various video projects in partnership with MSU’s TV channel. Moving my way up in the creative world, I have recently started positions as both the Marketing Manager and Communications Manager for MSU Telecasters student-run shows as well as a Social Media Director for my capstone film class. Apart from my work during the past four years at MSU, I have also taken an entrepreneurial path in making and managing my own YouTube channel subscribers). I am passionate about creating content that can both relate to others and inspire them. Some of my outside hobbies include traveling (theme park enthusiast), going to concerts, reading, and decorating my home.I will be graduating from MSU in April 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Storytelling (minors in both Fiction Filmmaking as well as Entrepreneurship & Innovation). As my college education comes to a close, I am looking to gain professional experience in the film, marketing, and communications world. I am ready to get my foot in the door and am open to a wide variety of opportunities- from making the film to promoting and branding it.
