ABOUT JEN FISHER
I’m someone who believes that reimagining work as a force for human flourishing isn’t just possible—it’s essential. Here’s what you can expect from me. I’ve been burned out. I’ve battled cancer while trying to prove I was still “relevant” from my chemo chair. I’ve watched my mother disappear into Alzheimer’s while pretending I had it all together at work. I don’t do toxic positivity. I speak honestly about what constant performance costs us and the courage to change. Hope isn’t wishful thinking—it’s the disciplined practice of imagining better possibilities and creating pathways to reach them. It’s not the light at the end of the tunnel; it’s the torch we need to lead others through it. I help leaders build sustainable systems to honor human capacity not deplete it. You don’t need to have it all together. The goal isn’t to never struggle but to struggle well—to use difficulty as information rather than judgment, seek support instead of isolation, to know that sustainable performance beats heroic burnout every time. ç. The conversation that changed my life happened when my boss said to me, “You’re not okay. And you’ve convinced everyone—including yourself—that this is what okay looks like.” I’ll ask the hard questions: When was the last time you felt joy in your work? When did you create something because you were inspired, not because it was expected. I gave my work everything for years—midnight emails, weekend projects, proving my worth through constant achievement. Now I help leaders create cultures where people don’t have to choose between wellbeing and performance, because they are deeply connected.I’m the CEO of The Wellbeing Team, bestselling author (Hope Is the Strategy - 2026), host of The WorkWell Podcast, and co-creator of WellQ360. As Deloitte US’s first Chief Wellbeing Officer, I pioneered a human-centered approach to work that reshaped how organizations view wellbeing.I’ve taught at Harvard and UCLA, spoken at TEDx, Workhuman, SXSW, and contributed to Fortune, CNN, and HBR. More than any credential, I’m someone who learned the hard way that hope isn’t what you turn to after strength fails—it\'s the strength we’ve been looking for all along.Let’s build the future of work, one hope-filled action at a time.
