ABOUT JEFF BENNINGHOFF
Jeff Benninghoff is the Vice President & General Manager of WWSB ABC 7, the Sarasota, FL ABC Affiliated owned by Gray Media Group, Inc. Prior to the station being purchased by Gray Media in January 2019 and Raycom Media in May 2017, Jeff served as Vice President of Broadcast for Calkins Media Incorporated. He first joined Calkins Media in 1993 and was named Vice President of the broadcast group – including WWSB ABC 7 in Sarasota, FL, WTXL ABC 27 in Tallahassee, Fla. and WAAY ABC 31 in Huntsville, Ala. – in April 2013. In addition, Benninghoff also served as General Manager of WWSB ABC 7 for Calkins Media. With more than 23 years of experience with Calkins Media, Benninghoff has served in several leadership roles throughout the company and its properties, including oversight of the Western Pennsylvania and South Florida newspapers, Vice President and Director of Finance, Controller, Station Manager, Director of Compliance and Director of the Family Office. Benninghoff, a certified public accountant, has a degree from La Salle University and earned his MBA from The University of South Florida.
