A Ramp Agent Lead directs a team responsible for the safe movement of cargo and passengers between an airport’s terminal and aircraft. A Lead overseas a team that loads and unloads cargo and baggage, directs and services aircraft and performs other tasks in and around the airport ramp (the part of the airport where planes are parked, refueled, loaded, unloaded, and boarded by passengers at the gate). A Ramp Agent Lead oversees operations in this area to ensure planes remain on schedule. They move inside the airport when necessary, ensure each gate is clear when an aircraft approaches, guides planes and passengers, and provide other services for each aircraft.
