In my current role I work as a Chief Business Analyst / product manager for all analysis and design on complex programmes. This involves leading teams of other business analysts, product managers, service designers, user centred design colleagues and wider development teams to deliver features and manage roadmaps across various products / projects. I lead large teams from 5 to over 50 people on complex programmes. As a Lead Product Manager, this involves understanding the product end to end, how it fits within a service and what value looks like in order to make priority decisions. It includes conducting / working with user research and UX teams to ensure the best output for the customers and working with development teams to design and deliver. As a team leader, I am passionate about empowering others and making sure we deliver excellent work to the customer. I am comfortable with all aspects of management including performance management, appraisals and team development. This experience has mainly been in public and life sciences sector with lots of experience working within the GDS framework and managing GDS assessments, and across both custom software developments, and packages such as MS Dynamics.
