ABOUT JANIS AVILA

Organizations work best when the experiences of employees and customers are designed together.People are at the center of every organization — both the customers it serves and the employees who make that service possible. My work sits at the intersection of Customer Experience (CX) and Employee Experience (EX), with a belief that when both are designed together, organizations work better for everyone.Over the past 20+ years, I’ve worked inside global organizations across financial services, technology, healthcare, and media — leading initiatives that connect culture, leadership, and operations to the experiences people have every day.My career began in human resources and organizational design, where I focused on employee experience and culture. Over time, that work expanded into customer experience strategy and transformation, helping companies listen more deeply to their customers and redesign the journeys that shape those relationships. What I’ve learned along the way is simple:customer experience and employee experience are deeply connected — and when they are designed together, organizations become stronger and more human-centered.Much of my work focuses on helping leaders and teams connect those dots.I enjoy bringing people together across functions — HR, operations, customer teams, and leadership — to step back from day-to-day pressures and rethink how experiences are designed. Whether through journey mapping, service design, workshops, or strategic conversations, or rethinking how services are delivered through digital workplace platforms, the goal is always the same: create workplaces that are more human-centered, aligned, and responsive.Alongside my corporate work, I also collaborate with global conference producers and organizations as a speaker, panel moderator, and workshop facilitator, helping bring CX and EX conversations to life through real stories and practical insights.I\'m always interested in connecting with others who care about building organizations that work better for both people and the customers they serve.
